Terms of Use

This is an English translation of the Arabic terms of use. If the two versions differ, the Arabic version prevails.

These terms govern your use of the Al-Jallab (الجلّاب) app and the website aljallab.app (together, the "Platform"). By using the Platform or creating an account, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

1. Nature of the Platform

  • Al-Jallab is a listing and contact platform for camels, sheep and related services, and for showing auctions, exhibitions and events.
  • Al-Jallab is not a party to any transaction. Buying, selling, negotiation, payment, pickup and delivery take place directly between the seller and the buyer, at their own responsibility.
  • Al-Jallab does not guarantee the accuracy of listings, the quality, health or ownership of any animal or item offered, or the seriousness of any party.
  • Auctions and exhibitions shown on the Platform are events held outside it. No bidding takes place inside the app.

2. Registration and accounts

  • You must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Registration requires a valid, verified mobile number. You may link an email address, Apple account or Google account to your account.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of your information, for all activity through your account, and for keeping your device and verification codes secure.
  • Creating fake accounts or impersonating any person or entity is prohibited.
  • Guests may browse listings without an account, but contact details and services are available to registered users only.

3. Listings and content

  • You are solely responsible for the photos, videos, descriptions, prices and all content you post, and for having the right to post it and to sell what you offer.
  • Listings must be true and accurate, and must show the actual animal or item with real photos.
  • Every listing passes an automated review before publication and may be referred to a moderator. Any material change to a published listing is reviewed again.
  • Automated review or moderator review is not a guarantee of the accuracy of a listing or of what is offered.
  • By posting content, you grant Al-Jallab a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to display, copy and format it within the Platform and to promote the Platform, for as long as the content remains on it.

You may not post or offer:

  • Any animal or product that is unlawful in the Kingdom, or that requires a license the seller does not hold.
  • Stolen animals or animals of unknown ownership, or protected wildlife.
  • Listings that hide a known disease or defect, or any misleading description.
  • Duplicate, fake, or off-topic listings.
  • Offensive, obscene or racist content, or content that threatens or insults any person or tribe.
  • Content showing cruelty or harm to animals.
  • Other people's personal data without their permission.
  • Any attempt at fraud, or requests to transfer money in suspicious ways.

4. Contact between users

  • Contact on the Platform is by phone call and WhatsApp.
  • We advise you to inspect what is offered before paying, and not to transfer any money before verifying the other party.
  • Users' numbers may not be used for anything other than contact about a listing, such as promotional messages or harassment.

5. Al-Jallab commission

  • Al-Jallab's commission is 1% of the sale price, paid by the seller after completing the sale of something they listed on the Platform.
  • The commission is a trust on the seller's honor (amanah). It is not a contract or a brokerage fee, and Al-Jallab does not intervene in the transaction or in setting its price.
  • The seller transfers the commission themselves to the account shown in the app.
  • By paying the commission, you help keep Al-Jallab running and growing to serve the livestock community.

6. Reports and blocking

  • You can report any listing, account or service that violates these terms.
  • You can block any user, so that their listings and account no longer appear to you. You can unblock them from settings.
  • The administration reviews reports. Artificial intelligence may help sort them, but the final decision is made by the administration.

7. Featured listings (paid promotion)

This section applies once the service is available.

  • After a listing is published, it can be featured for 12 hours, 1 day, 3 days, or 1 week, at the prices shown at the time of purchase.
  • Featuring starts when the listing actually appears as featured, and the listing returns to its normal position when the period ends.
  • Promotion fees are non-refundable once payment is completed, even if you stop your listing or sell the item before the period ends, to the extent permitted by law.
  • If a technical fault on the Platform's side prevents the listing from being featured, we will make up the lost time or act as required by law.
  • If a listing is removed for violating these terms, the promotion fee is not refunded.

8. Al-Jallab's rights

Where needed, and without prior notice, Al-Jallab may:

  • Reject a listing, make formatting edits to it, suspend it or remove it if it violates these terms or the law.
  • Warn, temporarily suspend, or ban an account that violates these terms.
  • Change, add or discontinue categories, services or features of the Platform.

9. Limitation of liability

  • The Platform is provided "as is" and as available. We do not guarantee that it will operate without interruption or errors.
  • Al-Jallab is not liable for transactions between users, for any loss or damage arising from them, or for content posted by users.
  • In all cases, to the extent permitted by law, Al-Jallab's liability shall not exceed the amount the user paid to the Platform in the three months before the claim.

10. Intellectual property

The Al-Jallab name, logo, designs and software belong to Al-Jallab and may not be copied or used without written permission.

11. Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time inside the app, or from aljallab.app/delete-account. Your data is handled according to the Privacy Policy.

12. Changes

We may change these terms. If there is a material change, we will notify you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Platform after that means you accept the changes.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the competent courts in the Kingdom have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
